You know, I'm not sure. The issue with the Optio 10
was a noticeable reddish-purplish tinge all around
perimiter of the images (I was shooting against a
white background, so it was perfectly noticeable). My
assuption is that the sensor is dying a slow death and
those sites are just the first to go, but honestly, it
could be any number of things. This explanation just
seems to makes sense based on how hard this camera got
used.

Yeah, well, 10mm is about the absolute closest I
probably go and you're right, it's tough not casting
shadows at that distance but it can be done.
I will report on the W60 and maybe post a few shots.
It will be nice to have the bump in resolution (6MP to
10MP) and retaining the rugged, waterproof design is
nice, too.
