Thanks, the background on the second one is a little busy. The damselfly is nice and sharp enough to make it a keeper.
No fillflash. Yes the Sigma 500 :) It required two (free) firmware upgrades by Sigma to make it work on the K10D. After that the flash tube died. I used a very cheap minolta version of the sigma as a flash tube donor and now it's working ok.
