Thanks every one for the comments. The paper left it to me to decide which to submit, as they liked them both.
I sent them the second crop, which i like a bit better. Next year, i'll take the faster 70-200 and should have less of these semi missed shots. Brian, i used the de saturation method from the video Godfrey sent to the list a few weeks back. Seems to work very well, for me anyway.
