At least they had the decency to use a 
"Super-Multi-Coated" Takumar and not the piece
of crap "SMC" version they came out with later....

This may be controversial but I think Pentax quality
peaked with the SPII of 1971 ( Thirty years ago ).
Yeah the SPF had open aperture metering but the finder
wasnt as good and the lenses took a step back when
the started using rubber and later plastic...

"Super-Multi-Coated" Takumars ( all metal and glass)
were the ultimate quality, "SMC" Tersions were lower quality,
"K" lower again, M lower again , A even lower, you get the picture...
