I'm wrestling with the settings in Photomatix. With default settings, this piece of software invariably produce eerie, weird pictures that never match what the eyes see. So I have to pull the levers. I usually give up after half an hour of tweaking, but this time I think I may have actually produced a credible image. What do you think? Is this passable? Tech: Produced with Photomatics from 3 RAW exposures +/- 1.7 EV from the K20D, and processed with the "details enhancer". The scene is a narrow canal somewhere close to Canada Water in the London Docklands area.
