Heading out to Pennsic in a few hours; trying to get the past week
or two worth of photos transferred from CF cards to CD-ROM so I'll
have room for the next two weeks in a photo-opportunity-rich
environment. My ex-housemate said he can score me another drive
for my file server, but I won't get that until September and all
my machines are currently full. I'm feeling dizzy when I stand up
and carry things around for a while, so taking breaks to sit in
front of the computer (and in front of a fan) is undoubtably a good
thing.
I'll be deciding at the last minute what cameras to take with me.
Probably a screwmount body for IR, and the K2 for TMZ and Tri-X.
Before getting the *istD, that decision was always simple: all of
them. (To keep different film loaded in different bodies, and to
have some as backups for others.)
I do wish I'd been able to build a flash unit out of IR LEDs in
time. (Not enough spare room in the budget to order the parts.)
Maybe I'll have that built by next year.
