Toronto has (at least) two jazz festivals every year. The smaller of the two, The Beaches' Jazz Festival is outdoors and on the Saturday and Sunday evenings, they close down Queen Street East so the acts can play in the streets. Truth be told, most of the bands aren't jazz, but it's still fun.
I've seen Johnny Max there for the past couple of years. He's a local blues singer and puts on a good show. He loves to wander into the gathered crowd to embarrass the ladies... http://tinyurl.com/6qjuy8 http://bp0.blogger.com/_EaTEtfR4WJw/SJGuW6V2g0I/AAAAAAAACws/ri1r2JY7eK8/s1600-h/jazz_singer_crowd.jpg I had my longer zoom (28-105mm) with me, so I got lots of tight shots like this - a bit of a different thing for me.
