I knew they built it, although when I was there (early '70s) the way to get from Malmo to Copenhagen was on the hydrofoil. It was fascinating (in a road accident kind of way) to watch the hard-core drinkers line up a whole row of drinks and knock them back during the brief period duty-free service was offered.
