I would call Pentax repair and ask them if you can send them a copy of  
the corner enlargement. I personally think it's atrociously bad. Hell,  
my old Tokina ATX Pro f 2.8 80-200 mm seems to do a bit better than  
that for much less cost.

And yes, I know the Pentax EXIF has a hard time identifying the lens.  
Thinks it's either a smc PENTAX-F 35-105mm F4-5.6 or SIGMA AF 28-300  
F3.5-5.6 DL IF.     Blame Tokina.
