If I'm in the field working a paid shoot, the laptop is somewhere accessible. If I'm doing my own work, I don't carry it with me. I often walk for five to ten miles when I'm out shooting. I will carry it on my walk to Starbucks, occasionally ... that's just one mile away ... but usually I don't: I'd rather bring my journal and a book to read while I relax over there.
