hi,

no photos, just a small story... :-))

there's a camera repair guy near my workplace who does everything from
small point and shoots to nikon d200s. since he has been at it for long,
he also has a large customer base and his camera repair shop also serves
as an unofficial sell-buy hub.

i drop in once in a while to see if he's got anything interesting (over
the last two years i've got a k50/1.2 and the k30/2.8 from him in very
good condition at throwaway prices)...i had gone there yesterday and
for the first time yesterday laid my eyes on a pentax 6x7 in good
condition. looks like one of the earlier models (asahi pentax) with a
takumar super-multi-coated 105/2.4 lens. he said i could have it for
the equivalent of US$240.

i wouldn't know what to do with it and don't even know whether i have
the biceps to handle it. so just played around with it for a while just
to get a sense of what it must feel like to be in the brotherhood. the
k10d is itself more camera than i can handle :-)

regards, subash
