I live about 10 kilometres south of the explosion. I was woken up by windows shaking in a way that I'd never heard before. I thought it was a freakish wind (because it was like one loud shake then nothing). Another rattling happened some time later (just after I'd fallen asleep from the first one). Again, I figured it was something weather-related, as we'd had thunderstorms the evening before. Much later in the morning I heard what caused the window-shake. We're on the south side of our building (facing away from the explosion), so I'm guessing that those on the north side must have had even louder reports. Considering the distance we are from the explosions, the air-concussion was quite amazing. All's okay in casa knarf, however... cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
