When I was learning photography back in the mid seventies, a Chicago
pro told me to try to shoot at least one 36 exposure roll every day.
And he provided film for me to work with. That's 10,000 frames a year
and 10,000 learning experiences a year. I owe him.

On the other hand, my days of shooting ten exposure rolls of 120 film
taught me to choose my shots with care, and I try to keep that
mindset. But there's no substitute for getting out there and
shooting, providing you're not mindlessly machine-gunning film. If
you shoot with care, the more you shoot, the better you get.
