Interesting, although it's unfortunate that Johnston compared it to the Zeiss 28/2 ZK which is optimized for centre sharpness at close distances and is a mediocre lens at longer distances by Zeiss standards, rather than the 35/2 ZK, which is optimised for full-field sharpness at moderate to long distances. The Zeiss 35 might just have given the Limited a run for its money near infinity.
Overally, it looks the the 35 Limited is a real gem of a lens. -Adam On Tue, Aug 19, 2008 at 9:46 AM, Godfrey DiGiorgi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > A friend bought one wondering whether he'd ever really use a macro. > > Now it's the only lens he's used for three months. :-) > > Godfrey - www.gdgphoto.com > > On Aug 19, 2008, at 1:08 AM, Boris Liberman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >> On Tue, Aug 19, 2008 at 11:07 AM, Derby Chang <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >> wrote: >>> Geez, Mike and Carl are pretty coy about their opinions, aren't they. >>> Good read.
