My parents used to own a Rambler. Perhaps the worst car we ever owned. No, actually the Hillman Minx was the worst car we ever owned. Or was that the Vauxhall Victor?
Well, by the mid-sixties we'd had enough of English cars and we decided that a nice reliable American sedan was the way to go. However, before getting one of those we bought a used 1963 Rambler 660 Classic. Bench seats, three speed manual, straight six, aluminium block. The latter feature left us stranded for three days once in beautiful Courtland Ontario while the local garage ordered a new block. Worst vacation of our lives. But I digress. The Rambler in your pic is a bit older than ours, but it sure brings back memories! Those sun-saturated colours are amazing, as is the composition. There are very few visual clues (and even those ones are subtle) that this wasn't taken in the 60's. Beautiful. And, thanks for the memories! cheers, frank On Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 7:09 AM, Doug <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > enjoy > > http://www.drivingtheflies.com/?p=498 > > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. > -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
