Well, most of them anyway. This weekend I walked with a friend from the source of the Thames to Lechlade, about 25 miles (40km). We spread the walk over 2 days, and he is now continuing by kayak to Greenwich, where he expects to arrive on Sunday next with the ebbing tide.

Picture 7 shows Lyd Well, which is where the water first flows permanently, a few hundred yards from the source. It is, however, a well not a spring. I think the Romans dug it. The cows seem to too.
