and I was thinking "willet" at first glance' I'm hunkered down in NY with a cold - haven't been able to read miuch on list...
NOted that since one couldn't see the legs, and couldn't see the size, kept me from putting "yellow legs" into themix before consulting my Nation Geo book, I thought , Willet, Godwit, dowwicher, Yellowlegs and more of thsoe confusing birdies.... I threw out a a couple because this birdy had such a distinctive ring around his eye with out a comet tail .
