Actually, that would be the opposite of its current incarnation: As it is now, the 99-percentile point-n-shooters understand it and the remaining 1% serious amateurs can, as Frank demonstrated, deduce what is *meant*. With technically detailed rules, sophisticated photographers like you and Frank are no better off and the other 99% of the public is worse off.
