Gang, I've recently dabbled into night photography with exposure times longer that 30s, using the "B" setting. Whenever I lock the shutter open, I start worrying about the batteries running out of juice.
So I have a couple of questions that I hope someone in this enlightened forum knows the answer to: 1. How long exposures can one hope to get from a fully charged battery for either K10D or K20D (I own both)? 2. With the vertical grip attached, will the camera switch from one battery to the other during exposure if needed? 3. Has anyone made a DIY external power source for their camera, or have any web pointers?
