Mac OS X can read both NTFS and FAT32, but it can only write to FAT32.
Windows XP's utilities will not format a 250G volume as FAT32, only  
NTFS.

So as I wrote in my previous email, don't format the drive with  
Windows ... Format it with Mac OS X's Disk Utility and you'll be  
fine. :-)
