Assembled in Philippines & Assembled in Vietnam could mean they were still making parts in Japan. Now, I suspect, the parts will be made in the same locale where the product is assembled. Bottom line is whatever Pentax camera related work was being done at the Mashiko factory is now going to be done elsewhere. It could adversely affect quality or supply while the new workers get up to speed, and that would be bad. But, maybe they're already training the workers and will have them up to speed before March next year. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
