My father is also dead, but he wasn't a dentist. Photography was indeed a hobby for him. He had a Yashica A 2 1/4 by 2 1/4 (as they called them then - now they're 6x6) tlr. He bought me a used SP 500 around 10 years ago for $20, including an f2.0 55mm and f3.5 200mm pre-set Takumar. It was my first Pentax (he knew I lusted for a Spottie back in the early '70's, but I bought a screwmount Praktica instead, at about 1/2 the price).
