Well, it's just a guess...;-)

I remember when Sony came out with the VX1000 DV
camcorder and within months there were companies who
were making balanced XLR input boxes that pluged into
the camera's single stereo mini jack. So, you never
know.

Totally agree. The camera's compactness would actually
be a hindrance in many instances. Besides, photogs
aren't going to suddenly become videographers in big
numbers simply because the have a quiver full of
compatible lenses.
