Thanks again to everyone who sends wishes to Anne. She was amused and touched that all these people she's never met are sending out positive vibes. ;-) In fact, John, it seems that the operation (plate and screws and such) is to prevent her leg from becoming a weather forecaster. The thought is that without the surgery she'd have arthritis in that knee in some 10 to 20 years. Were she older, they'd have not likely bothered with the surgery. I guess the extra support will keep things moving in the right way so that she heals up well. Thanks again! cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
