I sort of like the stump itself..in a lukewarm way. A capture prospective, however, has yet to occur to me. This scene is facing East. The Buttes in the background would block the sun for awhile, but the silhouette that would result isn't what I had in mind. As I said in my original post, I think later in the day and a polarizing filter might be the answer. Thanks for commenting, Bruce.
