Just a year old, but out of production. I talked to someone today who told me warranties would actually apply, but it will take like 3 weeks to have it honored. The EPROM chip is soldered onto this particular motherboard so there's no other way than to send the whole thing away for replacement, and I'll probably get a "corresponding model" for replacement. But hey, this is thread hijacking... I just used it as an excuse for a bit of bashing.
