A month or so ago I took a test for a company that produces VR tours for real estate marketers. They initially specified Canon or Nikon equipment, but I went for it anyway. Finally heard back from them yesterday. They said my test, which I shot in my own house, was great. I got two assignments immediately, and shot one today. Took me only about an hour to shoot seven panos. I don't have to stitch them. I just upload the photos. So at the very least, these jobs will pay for my $400 pano head, which I like very much. It's the Manfrotto 303 plus. It's silky smooth and infinitely adjustable. I can achieve perfect nodal point alignment with little effort.

I downloaded a demo version of some clunky pano software to check my work, and it looked good. I want to make some panos of my own, but I'm waiting for CS 4 before I buy any software. I already have the new PhotoShop on order, and I think it may come with adequate stitching functions, so I'm waiting. But I'm looking forward to shooting some other panos. More fun with cameras:-).
