I have a friend in Rochester who's a research chemist at Kodak. Last I heard he was working on inkjet papers but he used to be in color negative film. Once, when reminiscing about the film days he said wistfully, "Man, it was like having a license to print money! I think it cost us less to make the film than the box we put it in."
