Hi, I'm not sure if this is can solve part of your problem, but when I was making tests for figuring out hot data imprinting works, once I changed PF 15 four times during the same roll of film. I expected to see changes in data print density but - nothing, nada. So finally I remembered that it was said here at PDML how the camera imprints data during rewind. Obviously, it imprints data as PF 15 was set when rewind took place. And, since PF15 was set at 4 (high density imprinting) during rewind, all data was lost because of the overexposure (film used wasHP5 at 400 ASA). Can't tell anything about non DX coded canisters since I haven't used them with MZ-S, though.
