Pentax hasn't even been concentrating on entry-level kit, they've been completely absent in that market since January and will remain so until the K2000D starts showing up on shelves, and even then it's not exactly cheap (As it's kitted with the 18-55 and the AF200FG flash for $699, not even close to entry-level pricing when there are several sub-$500 kit options out there like the Sony A200 and Nikon D40, The K200D's vaguely reasonably at under $600 for the kit nowadays, but that's a recent development)
