Oly is stuck with a lensmount that is incapable of using a much larger
sensor, they'd have to develop an entirely new system to go to a
bigger sensor. And while it looks like both Nikon and Leica are going
to make that gamble, Oly likely isn't in a position to do so.

Pentax doesn't need a full-on pro camera. They do need something above
the K20D with performance comparable to an A700, 50D or E-3 at least
(~5fps, fastish AF, etc) and preferably akin to the D300. Something
like the 5DmII, A900 or D700 would be even better (and that's still
not a full-on 'Pro' body). The K20D is an excellent body with a great
sensor, but a lot of people need more than 3fps and pedestrian AF. And
today they can get that for K20D money (D90 - 4.5fps, better AF than
the K20D).
