You may not have seen some earlier PESOs where I explained that my
computer's down (needs a new hard drive) so I'm relegated to using
Picasa to process everything these days.  Near as I can see, there's
no way to resize on Picasa, and all adjustments are for the whole
frame only.  I thought the pedestrians needed burning as well, but I
can't do it on Picasa.  I also can't really sharpen anything because
(again) one can only sharpen the whole frame, which I pretty much
never want to do.

So, all that whining out of the way, thanks for your comment, and
thanks for the re-rendering that you sent me off list.  It's terrific
- the way I'd have liked to have done it in Photoshop.

Thanks to everyone else who commented.  As I said, I've been fooling
around with this type of shot for a couple of weeks now, and this one
seemed to work.
