My 1987 Chevy 4x4 pick up was stolen in 1994, and the insurance phoned all of the GM dealers in an X mile radius of my home, then come up with an average. The covered everything attached to the truck, spare tire, CB radio etc. Anything not was covered by house insurance. The truck insurance people were very good to deal with. The house insurance folk were a PITA. Wanted to see reciepts from stuff i had bought 10 years ago that is was claiming. I should have gotten at least $2500, back then, but wound up with a few hundred. Enough to replace a jack all, shovel and my axe.
