Same here with my AF-540FGZ. Go for the Eneloops.

I haven't got the flash guns you mention but I use NiMH in the 330FTZ
and the AF280T. They work fine.

I highly recommend the Sanyo Eneloops - they retain a charge much longer
than the generic brands I've used. They even come fully charged out of
the packet. I also use them in the *ist DS and K200D - they seem to
last forever!

Cheers

I'm getting tired of disposable batteries for flash. Even the Energizer
Lithium batteries don't do that good a job, and they worked great for
powering my *ist-D (better than NiMH).

Anyone have experience to share using NiMH rechargeables in flash,
particularly AF-500FTZ, AF-360FGZ or AF-540FGZ?

I use the former with my PZ-1P, and the latter two with the *ist-D &
K10D.
