Great story, it reminded me of me when I was 14, had my first camera, and
was always going photowalking.
Your nephew seems to have a natrual eye for photography.
Picture 1: I realize it was blind luck with the camera choosing the
settings, but the depth of field is perfect.
Picture 2: The out of focus tree is a problem, he was just slightly out of
position when he pushed the button, or he could have been a bit closer,
but I like the remoteness of the composition.
Picture 3: I like the subtlety of the squirrel hiding in the middle of an
excellently composed picture.
Picture 4, I would have liked the leaves a bit lower in the frame.
