I took some pictures with my /Pentax camera and lenses/ and now I'm
looking at them in Lightroom. After you play with about every slider in
"develop" and totally bugger-up everything, how does one clear all those
things and go back to the original (start over)?

If it works like Camera Raw, hold down the ALT (or whatever the Mac uses
if you're an Apple user) and the "Cancel" button should change to "Reset".
