I ordered and received an early MZ-S back in July. It failed to completely rewind the very first roll that I put through it (a new roll of Kodak E100VS). At the time, it sounded like a gear was stripped. I now think that the problem had to do with the polymer post that engages the spool in the film cartridge. Seems like maybe it didn't fully engage the spool and "popped off" partway through the rewind.
I sent the camera back to www.cameraworld.com and they sent me a new MZ-S. I've shot 25-30 rolls of film with it and it hasn't exhibited any problems whatsoever.
