I remember watching an episode of "My Classic Car" that had a segment on detailing your car. One portion of that segment dealt with cleaning the outside of your windshield. The presenter said to get some steel wool and use plenty of water while going gently over the entire windshield. As far as the kind of steel wool, all he said was find one with as many zeros in the description as you can. My memory is not good, but I think he said he was using one with 4 zeros. All this is based on a failing memory, but I thought I would throw it out and it might trigger a recollection in some other list members. Good luck!
