I fully understand what you're saying, Godfrey.
For the most part, I use Facebook for "casual" photography. I've read
that agreement before and while it is somewhat worrisome, I, for the
most part, don't put "stuff I depend on for a living" up there. I
realize that although those terms are somewhat draconian for ANY
person, I don't really rely on my photos for anything more than my own
amusement and entertainment - and, sadly, it makes for a very easy
platform for sharing "casual snaps" with my friends.
I'd never post stuff to a site with these sorts of terms of use for
MY image content.
If I were you, I would not either. Seriously! I appreciate your
pointing this out. For my usage and needs, I'm not going to sweat it
too much (yet).
