My K20D is at just under 20,000. I bought it shortly after
introduction. But weddings and real estate VTs role up really big
numbers. I shot over 700 frames today doing VTs in two apartment
complexes. I think my K10D is at about 17,000.

I'm about to "roll over" the image numbers on my K10D, in about
1,000 shots. That's in about two years. However, my shooting is
really sporadic. When there aren't any racing events, I might go
weeks without touching the cameras, then shoot two or three thousand
shots in a few days at an event.
