I'd be willing to bet it would be fairly simple to engineer a DSLR Auto 110. The sensor and some of the electronics could be set into a precision made 110 cartridge (easily replaced when better [more dense] sensors come along). The rest of the electronics and the battery(s) could fit into a gutted motor drive module. There is already a vast array (6) of lenses available for the camera, and they are selling for next to nothing on eBay. Same with the bodies and accessories. There's a great business opportunity for someone, if we can all keep quiet about the demand for Auto 110 equipment for the project.

I already have three custom cases for mine when they are available! :-)
