Hello I just jot a ME Super SE but the screen was quite dirty. (I mean very) So I figured why not try cleaning it. Well I never should have touched the thing now I know. First of all I managed to spread mirror cushin foal all over it, then after hours and hours of misoury I managed to egt it off. I used solution, water, alcohol, soap. etc. Pain in the ass. Now the outside seems to be clean though I am worried that I managed to get a layer on or off or something because lights looking through the screen have an interesting glow...
Also, it was not only the outside that was darn dirty, the inside is too. Could not do much with that. Dirt is still there. Now it is accompanied by serious amounts of circular watermarks (or something) Yesterday it was just little drops of water (or whichever liquid) So I have a scrren with a clean outside with possibly some soap or alcohol left of it creating serious glows inside and making the picture BAD. And I also have a dirty inside that I cannot get to with serious circular shaped marks. I am conident the screen is not damaged (unless the alcohol rubed off the matte surface or something) but I cannot get to the rest of it for cleaning purposes. You see this is not an MX or LX where I can just take the screen out and clean it. The Super Programs have a screw that releases the screen. Nothing like that here. (at least I could not find it) Could someone help me. I am prepaired to find out that I killed my screen or that I will need to take it to a pro for cleaning. (so if that is the case, shoot, don't spare me, give it to me) If someone has a better idea, I am all ears. thx L Levente -Levi- Littvay University of Nebraska-Lincoln -------------- PGP public key: http://www.kign.org/levilpub.asc Key fingerprint: 8BD8 3CE7 FB1D 625F F268 BFCE 417A C20C 92BF 6225 -------------- Download free PGP e-mail security software: http://www.pgpi.org/ - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
