Hi-

NPR's armored car was bombed today. No human casualties- they were very fortunate.

Iraqi police warned them of the bomb, and moments later it went off. So, no one was hurt. Eggs on side-walk were undamaged.

However, the car was reduced to a burning hulk.

They got audio of the police warning, and then the explosion.

Now, for the on topic bit- the reporter, Ivan Watson, got a nice group of pictures on the web.

I imagine it was a Canon G10, since that is what they have been buying lately. If anyone cares, I can find out for sure.

The big irony is that they were in a kabob house, doing a story on the improving security situation in Baghdad.

The audio should be up in a few hours- maybe 7 or 8 pm EDT
