Thank you both for your advice. Fortunately the Australian Pentax
distributor is located in Melbourne, so I can drop the lens in personally
and explain the problem. I'll clean the filters myself.

Probably worth dismantling them first, as the fungus will almsot certainly
have started in a crevice of a joint or thread.
