You didn't annex them, they left us. Alberta (the province in which one finds Edmonton and its infamous mall) is famous for two things: oil and cattle. They've always fancied themselves to be Northern Texans. Proper business attire includes cowboy boots, a cowboy hat and a bolo tie. Back during the first oil crisis back in '72, when the Powers That Be in Ottawa tried to nationalize the oil industry, so angered were Albertans that the biggest selling bumper sticker that year was "Let the Eastern Bastards Freeze in the Dark". I'm not kidding. I don't think many tears would be shed if you did annex them... ;-) cheers, frank (PS to all Albertans: this post was written with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Feel free to dump on Toronto in retribution. You have much ammunition.) -f -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
