So, Frank or Doug. In either case, you can tell what kind of effect
it had on me...
At my first GFM, I guess it was 1998, a guy came up to me after one of
the sessions and asked if I was the Doug Brewer from the PDML. I
allowed that I was, after making sure I had an escape route. He
introduced himself as Casey, and I can't remember his last name, but
he was on the list for a couple years back then.
I also met Nico that weekend, but it was a while before he joined up.
I did get to spend a pleasant afternoon with John Mustarde on Jan 2,
2000 when I was in the Dallas area. We tromped about in some of his
favorite photo spots, and he let me goof around with his 600/4, which
I used to photograph some cormorants.
