No. Unless they really turn up the juice for some reason. Another story: I was abroad just before a friend's wedding. I was in a place where lead crystal ornaments were very cheap, so I bought a champagne cooler for them. This is effectively a lead crytal bucket, full-size. About 8Kg. Easily big and heavy enough to hold a kilo of your favourite substance or something equally nefarious and it was packe din a box, so you couldn't see what it was. I took it as hand luggage on my flight back. As I could see the operator's screen, I watched it go through. Big, bell-shaped black thing inside the box. The operator never even flickered. I picked up the box and took my cooler (and, as far as they knew, my hand gun, explosives and stimulants to help me use them) on to the plane, where I sweated for three hours in case anyone had done it for real. I have absolutely no problem in being searched in minute detail if it stops me falling out of the sky, but outside of a (very) few places, airline security is pathetic and it is only a matter of time before there is another hijack. mike - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
