Charles,

Gas pipeline??? I'd ask for bigger poles to protect it!

We live at the end of a T intersection, on a downhill slope.
When we moved in, the fireplug had been replaced after a crash.
(They replaced the dirt around the plug after some 6 months.)
20 years ago on St. Patrick's day, with a slippery storm, a young man
put his new Camaro in the parkway. He missed the plug and a tree,
carefully sliding between them. As we tried to get him out, the
Camero spun down to the front axel in the soft lawn. We couldn't
get it out... until another car came up and hit it from behind!
We've learned to call the city for salt on the hill.

Regards, Bob S.
