Sales numbers of multi-coloured P&S's would disagree with you Marnie.
Ditto the unusual level of interest in the various coloured versions
of the Panasonic G1, the first large-sensor Digital camera to be
available in colours other than Silver and Black.

Compare the selling prices of the turn of the century thru the 40's
box and folder cameras from Kodak and others versus the black ones of
the same models.
Snakeskin may seem silly now, but 80 year old "ladies" cameras of that
ilk fetch a pretty farthing.
