He has time on his hands all year long!

He exploits thousands of vertically challenged workers, knowing he can
pay them slave-wages because they're otherwise unemployable due to
their disability (er, challenge). These poor suckers are virtually
imprisoned in dorms located in one of the most isolated places in the
world, so that even if they escaped they'd freeze to death getting to
civilization.

Due to the fact that he's located on an international ice floe, there
are no labour laws to protect these pathetic hoards.

They work in drafty workshops with no machines or other automation;
so low are their wages that capital investment would be a money-losing
proposition. They sleep in mangers with red-nosed ungulates with whom
they compete for both food and straw beds.

Since Santa gives his toys away for free, it's assumed that he makes
nothing from his yearly venture, but in fact he's paid well by the
world's largest toymakers - for every x-box and Nintendo Wii he gives
away, some little chump will use his Walmart wages to buy ten times
the worth of the unit in games. That's where the real money is, in
games.

Then he has the nerve to dress in red, trying to look like a Commie,
when in fact he's an uber-capitalist to the nth degree.

Shame on the Jolly Olde Elf!

cheers,
frank, who's celebrating Hannukah this year
